Automation Platforms
Use the seventhings automation-platform integrations when you want to connect asset workflows to other business tools without building and hosting your own API integration.
For custom applications, backend services, or advanced control over request logic, use the API Reference or the official SDKs.

Choosing a platform
Section titled “Choosing a platform”Choose n8n when your team wants full control over automation data and prefers to run workflows in its own infrastructure. n8n Community Edition can be self-hosted without n8n license fees for use covered by n8n’s license terms. The seventhings n8n nodes are public and available from the n8n integrations directory.
Choose Zapier when your team already uses Zapier and wants to connect seventhings to other SaaS tools with minimal setup. The seventhings Zapier app is currently available through a private preview invite and is expected to become publicly available in the coming weeks.
